What is covered by the ISCC scheme?

The ISCC system is globally applicable and covers the entire supply chain, from the initial source of raw material, storage points, production units to the end user – i.e, from the field to the end user. In this way, the traceability of materials throughout the supply chain can be ensured and the emissions of greenhouse gases can be calculated and checked.

The ISCC system allows the certification to cover a very wide range of raw materials and related products:

  • Agricultural and forest biomass;
  • Biofuels and biogas;
  • Waste and scrap (plastic, tall oil, straw, used cooking oil, etc.)

Why an ISCC certificate?

If you want to demonstrate how your company and its products help reduce the carbon footprint, an ISCC certification scheme is the appropriate solution for you.

The ISCC system helps to ensure and demonstrate accountability for:

  • GHG emission reductions;
  • Sustainable land use (soil, water and air);
  • Contributing to the protection of land with high biodiversity value and high carbon stock;
  • Compliance with legislation and international requirements;
  • Consideration of social impacts.

Through the ISCC certificate, you assure your partners, customers and stakeholders that your organization contributes to the sustainable use of raw materials and climate neutrality goals and you can prove this.
