Chain of custody certification proves that the wood and paper products originate from certified and inspected sources and ensures the traceability of the entire process from the forest to the end consumer.
More than ever before, suppliers want to be sure that the wood and paper product used by them do not damage the environment or human health and are compliant with globally acknowledged social, economic, and environmental standards. If you are involved in the field of paper or wood products and wish to show to your clients and other stakeholders that the material used by you is traceable, verifiable, and originates form sustainably managed sources, your need an FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) or PEFC™ (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) chain of custody certificate.
Any organisation which manufactures, processes, or distributes certified forest or wood based products and wish to use certified claims, related logos, or other trademarks in connection with those products can apply for a chain of custody certificate.
